Examples of Using KEDUSHAH in a Sentence

  • The recitation of Kedushah daily is a Babylonian custom; in the Palestinian tradition, the repetition of the Amidah would usually not include the kedushah, with it added only on special occasions according to Soferim § 20.
  • The following prayers are worded differently (while still preserving the same message of the prayer): Baruch She’Amar, Kaddish, Kedushah, certain blessings of the Amidah, Tachanun, and the Birkat Hamazon (grace after meals).
  • In the Western Ashkenazic rite, like in all of the prayers of Yom Kippur, the ark is open for the entire repetition of the Amidah except it is closed for Kedushah and Birkat Kohanim; most do not stand when it is open.
