• The Reer Oodeed are the Baho Nugaaleed Dhulbahante subclans who are based in intersecting territories of the central Ciid region.
• Soon after, the Dhulbahante were reinforced by other Reer Khair clan members as well as Ararsame, whilst the Biciidyahan were reinforced by other Umar Mahamuud Majeerteen clan members.
• Born into the preeminent Marehan clan, specifically the Reer Garaad sub-clan of the Rida-Amir, Garad Hirabu Goita Tedros emerged as a pivotal figure in the Abyssinian conquest.
